The Twitch Emote Pepega generally pronounced as ‘peh-peyguh’ features Pepe the Frog’s distorted image. The image ironically expresses that something is particularly stupid and it’s often accompanied by a pejorative slang implying someone has mental disabilities. It’s often accompanied with other words for instance “FOR SAN” referencing Forsen the Twitch streamer. At online platforms, it was posted frequently in the /r/forsen subreddit and Twitch chat.
According To Urban Dictionary
Urban Dictionary has a funny take, saying somewhat tongue in cheek that it’s
“The politically correct way of saying retarded.”
A hypothetical conversation could be:
Bob: Wow, that guy’s a retard.
Simon: Bro, you can’t say that- it’s offensive!
Bob: Apologies, I mean “pepega.”

Where The Pepega Emote Came From
In a Discord chat on 8th April 2018, a user referred to as Adew made a post that was the first known usage. This viral emoticon appeared to have been derived from attempts by Adew to post a meme. He messed up the code to post it and the ensuing conversation spawned this meme:
It’s on the 8th of April 2018 when it was added to the popular Twitch enhancement suite, FrankerFacez.
The same year on 13th September, this new emoticon was posted to /r/forsen by the Redditor elojudx’s account. The post said that the emote had now been added to the Forsen’s chat at large. This later lead to it being spammed as there was a show of displeased reactions by the community members. On that same year still, on 14th September, the emote’s Ghostbusters parody was posted by user BikoPikog to /r/forsen and it gained sixty nine points. On 15th September a day after posting a Ghostbusters parody version, another user posted to subreddit the screenshots showing how it had been spammed.
There was also another emote version that involved the addition of a horn to the emote that had the words typed FOR SAN and it seemed like this tiny tiny image was shouting in a silly voice the name Forsen. As usual to what had been done before, on 12th October, screenshots showing how it had been spammed were posted again to /r/forsen. The next post of its kind on 17th October 2018 shows it gaining many likes, over 240 at present. Check out some popular different versions over at KnowYourMeme.
