If you’re a fan of the National Football League, you’ve probably heard people tell you to watch live streaming NFL games on Reddit.

But, how?

While we don’t endorse piracy, we’ve compiled a guide describing how Reddit provides free streaming access to NFL games inside the r/NFLStreams subreddit. We also list out some legal streaming options at the bottom of this page that we encourage you to check out.

How r/NFLStreams Works

The way it works, before a game starts, usually at the start of a team’s pre-game show, the subreddit will fill up with threads that contain third-party links to sites that host streaming NFL content- BuffStream is a popular one.

If you visit the forum when there are no games on, it’ll be empty. But when the games are about to air, head over to the forum and you’ll see a ton of threads, organized by matchup.

Inside of these subreddit threads, a variety of individual Redditor accounts will link to places to watch the NFL game live. Be careful, though, because many of these sites are loaded up with invasive, aggressive ads. It’s best to use an adblocking extension when you visit these illegal streaming sites.

Live Streaming On Mobile

These streaming sites will even work on mobile- though the ad blocking isn’t as effective.

Through experience you’ll probably come to rely on a particular streamer’s links. Below is a video demonstrating how to access the stream on mobile (for a different sport, but it’s the same process regardless). It does show how it’s done on an app, but you don’t need to download the app to access the subreddit.

Live Streaming On Desktop

Below, you can see how to access the streams on your desktop computer through a Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorere, etc. browser:

NFL Network Streams

The subreddit also has a thread for links to NFL Network live streams, Monday Night Football, the Superbowl, the NFL draft, NFL RedZone- so if you want some 24/7 network coverage from NFL Network, which includes NFL.com, NFL Films, NFL Mobile, NFL Now and NFL RedZone, it’s the best place to look:

The Reddit NFL Streams subreddit does helpfully provide some paid resources. A lot of the Redditors who commented thought the pricing was too expensive- particularly since they only wanted to follow one team.
